Features

Incoming data

Vehicle information can be uploaded into the system via the website or using a data feed from the OEM prior to arrival. Vehicles do not need to be uploaded prior to arrival and the records can also be created at the time the vehicle is received.

VIN Decoding

VINs that exist in the ICL database are decoded when they are scanned in via the mobile app.
Roadmap: VIN decoding for all VINs including those not in the ICL database as well as VIN decoding for incoming data uploads.

Gate-in

VINs that exist in the ICL database are decoded when they are scanned in via the mobile app.
VIN barcodes can be scanned in or the VINs can be manually entered from the mobile or from the website if necessary. The gate-in event will be transmitted to ICL’s VLMS solution and interfaces can be established to 

Global Standards

Inspection entry leverages the AIAG Global Standard Damage Codes and the condition of the vehicle can be reported clean or damaged.
 

Intuitive Interface

The user selects the Damage Area from a vehicle schematic to filter down the allowable codes to only that specific area of the vehicle and is then required to select the Area, Type and Severity. Multiple damages can be captured per vehicle.

Capture Photos and Comments

Capture photos directly from the device's camera. The user can also pinpoint the damage location by placing a mark on a schematic and add text comments to a damage.

Damage information is transmitted to ICL's VLMS solution and interfaces can be established to other systems and to OEMs directly.

Configure Bay Locations

The bay locations for the yard are established and maintained via the website

Assigning the Vehicle Location

The vehicle bay location is assigned and updated on a per vehicle basis by the user. The system will confirm if the location entered by the user is valid and available.
Roadmap: Preset bay locations for guiding the user where to park a vehicle and dynamic bay location suggestions.

Data Interfaces

The parking location update is transmitted to ICL's VLMS solution and interfaces can be established to other systems and to OEMs directly.

Staging Vehicles

A group of vehicles can be staged for shipment by selecting the vehicles to be staged in the app. They will appear on the Shipping screen and from there can be out-gated together when ready.
Roadmap: Communications with Truck and Rail Vendors

Shipping/Out-gate

A vehicle can bypass the staging process and be out-gated by scanning the VIN first and then selecting the out-gate function from the vehicle menu. Once a vehicle is out-gated the vehicle status will be updated and the vehicle will be removed from yard inventory.

Web

There is a manual shipment web screen that can also be used to outgate vehicles.

Configurable

The driveaway feature is available to the yard but can also be hidden from the menu if it is not a feature that will be used.

Setting Locations

The pickup and drop-off locations for driveaways are defined by the customer and are preset with the SPLC and other location information. The user will not have access to changing this in the app.

Pickup and Drop-off

The user will scan a VIN barcode and then will select the start and end points and perform a visual inspection, noting any damages found before starting the driveaway. Ending the driveaway will automatically navigate to the gate-in flow if it recognizes it as the current yard.

Data Interfaces

Driveaway information is transmitted to ICL's VLMS solution and interfaces can be established to other systems and to OEMs directly.

Know the Details 

The vehicle information can be retrieved from both the mobile and web screens and can include additional vehicle data points such as Next Vendor, Order Status and Hold Reasons.

Track the Entire History

The entire history of events is available. If the vehicle happens to leave the yard and come back it will all be tracked, as multiple ingates and out-gates can happen from time to time.

A Complete Picture

The damage history for a vehicle can be found in the mobile app and on the website. Lookup past damages and view photos, comments and when the damages were recorded.

Multiple Filter Options

Get a summary of damages for an individual VIN or a group of VINs on the web. Additionally, there are 10 other filter criteria that can be setup to compile damage reports as needed.

Inventory Summary 

Get a real-time view of the inventory, from vehicles received in to vehicles out-gated today, as well as dwell days and other important filters.

Physical Inventory

An inventory of the yard can be performed using the mobile application to confirm that the inventory and locations are accurate.

Rate Entry 

Setup tiered rates in your preferred currency based on MFG groups and define a start and end date.

Cost Summary

Calculates an displays the storage amounts on a vehicle level based on the rates entered. A single VIN or a group of VINs can be entered to run a report that can also be downloaded into Excel.

Yes, we provide tools that allow you to setup parking locations to your specifications.   

The mobile app runs on Android (6.0 or later) and we recommend using the latest release to ensure the latest security updates are available. The app is intended for smartphone devices or tablets with built in cameras for scanning vehicle barcodes and capturing photographs.  

This is bound to happen in the yard and is not an issue.

While performing actions within the mobile app you will be able to see what data has synced successfully and what data still needs to be synced so that you know the status as well.

Data can be synced as soon as an internet connection is reestablished.
